Let there be light! Then there was darkness…
This is a piece of writing about reality: no matter how positive, courageous or faithful one can be, sometimes, things do not go according to plan. And that is okay. This is the truth that hit me three years after graduating from secondary school. When plans did not come into fruition and there was a lack of wisdom. At that point, I found myself numb to reality. When the comfort of being a child wore off, and I stepped into adulthood; the gates of dark abyss were opened after asking myself this question: “What is my purpose in life?”
Now upon asking myself this question, something life changing happened. I chose to seek God. This is the time of my life where I found light and darkness at the same time. My seeking God led to the confrontation of the darkness within.
For some, this can be a confusing and challenging time, but one which is quickly overcame. And unfortunately for some, this proves to be more than a challenge: it leads to a state of mental breakdown.
In this space, I will be sharing with you a piece of all that has been rebuilt; and all that is still under construction, from the internal wars and the triumphs that they have brought.
